Sowing For Your Harvest
Gen 8: 22, mark 4:26-32, 2cor: 9:10, Phil 4-9-19.
As soon as we have the very first down pour of rain in the year, we began to plant seeds of corn, groundnut, garden eggs and lots of vegetables as we had a big yard. All the kids will be working with my uncles to dig up and organise the plant beds so that we can plant the seed on time, before the rainy season takes off in earnest. The best part of it all was the watering of the beds. We love it going back and forth with the watering can that sprouts out water unto the plant beds. Even though we did not see anything growing we knew that the seed was down there and so we kept watering until the rain settles in and does the job for us throughout the season till harvest time.
In Genesis 8:32 the bible says ‘seed time and harvest shall not cease just like night and day sun and moon’. It means this is a permanent cycle that can never be broken. It is an ongoing circle. It’s the same in our lives, seed sowing, reaping and harvest. If we turn it around no seed no harvest. Nothing planted nothing is reaped. Mark 4:26-32 explains God's kingdom is like a seed scattered on the ground the sower sleeps and rises to see his seed grow.
Growing up as a teenage girl we start sowing seeds for the future. What we sow today is what we reap tomorrow. What you see today is as a result of what you did yesterday. Sowing seeds of prayer into the future, praying for your career, your business, you choice college or university, your ministry where you want to serve God effectively, your life partner etc. You can also push further to pray for your kids and marital home. You sow prayers into your early days of womanhood, you can correct generational curses upon your family line, you sort them out in prayer and improve your future. I came from a family where the women don’t get married, if they do they struggle to stay married or they end up separating from their spouses. When it got to my generation God used me to correct all that in prayer By God's grace I am still married going to 15 years.
The powerful prayer seeds go into the future to help prepare your life routes that you will take as you keep growing as a woman. They loosen up brass heavens, open doors and set you apart for excellent living. Most of the time we pray as the junction or the cross roads. Not bad but it can be better. Before things take another turn, prayers ahead are great. Can you imagine if our parents knew how to pray ahead for us? We will have less striving to make decisions; so many battles would have been won for us before we even start our race.
Other areas we can sow seed as we grow as women is by helping other women in their time of need. If a sister needs you to look after her baby, position yourself to be a blessing. Don't be too busy chatting away with friends. Your turn will come when you might need help with your own baby. If you don’t sow the seed now, you might get help but in a tough way.
We can also sow seeds when a sister is getting married. Be available to support all the way to the day. You will want to get married in the future and need such support. Sow the seed now.Be a blessing to your Pastor's wife. Help her with duties in church. Look for where she has needs. Sow the seed. You might end up in ministry tomorrow and need such assistance from members. Sow prayers into her life and make her ministry work and be enjoyable. Not always looking and trying to get people to work with her.
When seeds are sown my sister your reaping is sure, your harvest will be great. Women sometimes want automatic favours, microwave blessings when they have not sown the seed. Go be a seed sower your reaping is sure. Keep reading power hour mails God bless you.

Gen 8: 22, mark 4:26-32, 2cor: 9:10, Phil 4-9-19.
I grew up in West Africa Freetown Sierra Leone. The country is very mountainous with great forests tall trees and woodlands. This type of land attracts much rain. We therefore experience heavy down pour of rain. This happens several months in the year. Until plastic shoes, umbrellas and raincoats became the business for the season.
As soon as we have the very first down pour of rain in the year, we began to plant seeds of corn, groundnut, garden eggs and lots of vegetables as we had a big yard. Dear Woman of God,
ReplyDeleteAs long as the earth reamains, seed time and harvest, summer and winter, day and night shall never cease. (Gen 8 vs 32)
What seeds are you sowing?
Here is a beautiful and powerful ministration by Minister Regina Moore.
May God bless you as you read it.
Much Love
Minister Aije
Of a truth, this corroborates the adage in my local dialect that says 'pour water on the floor ahead, and you would step on soft, cool grounds'. Also anyone that yarns for friendship, should start by being friendly. I am truly refreshed by this message. Well done Minister Regina Moore.
