In Me And Through Me by Minister Aije Barnes October 2 Issue 1 Vol 2

I was in a prayer meeting after a worship group practice one Sunday morning, when the words "in me and through me" came to my heart. As I pondered these words in my heart, our minister used the same words in his prayer. From that moment, the words has been resonating in my spirit.

In the last ministration which I wrote entitled "Woman Take Your Place Part 1",  I promised to send Part 2 as it was laid in my heart to do so at the time.  So, this is it entitled "In Me And Through Me".

So what does this mean?
As a young Christian I used to pray the following: "Dear Lord, please use me as a vessel of honour in your house, bringing glory to your name and helping other people to come to know you as Saviour and Lord. In doing this Lord, please don't let me be only a signpost but as one who would also be saved. I say this Lord because I know that as useful as a signpost is, when destruction comes, the signpost can't escape by running away. Its work would have come to an end and it would be consumed on the spot!". Is this still my prayer? Absolutely!

The words "in me and through me" summed it up nicely for me.
You see, I recognise God the Father as an amazing loving gracious, merciful, long-suffering God. I also know that He is a consuming fire and He hates sin. That is why He gave His only begotten son as a sacrifice for us so that we through Jesus can become His children by believing and receiving him as our Saviour. In so doing, we become saved by grace through faith.

When the sins of the whole world was laid on Jesus on the cross, God the Father forsook Jesus. This hurt Jesus so much that He cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?". (Matt 27 vs 46).  The sight of sin on Jesus was just too ugly for God to watch Jesus die. Yet God allowed it to happen for you, for me, for us. And Jesus yielded for you, for me, for us.

If God could not tolerate sin and gave His only Son to cleanse us from it, what manner of people aught we to be? What manner of woman should you be?
That is why I still say and pray: "work in me and through me Lord!"

God is still changing us through His word every time we spend time with Him both in prayer and His word and more importantly when we obey Him. When we do so, we grow from faith to faith and change from glory to glory. It is a process which you need to discipline yourself to do in order to achieve your goal which is to finish the race you have started.

To start the Christian race is good but to finish it victoriously is much better.
The biggest hindrance to our progress in having a wonderful and successful relationship with God is disobedience. It is the same and first sin that led to the downfall of man and separated him from God. this same sin is the very thing that prevents us from allowing God to work in us when we read or hear His word, and through us when He  asks us to obey Him.

Some people start the Christian race but don't finish and they end up gaining nothing from what they have done- oh what a waste!

I pray that none of us would be like this in Jesus name! I pray that we would not be like that signpost that will be consumed when destruction comes. I pray also that we would not harden our hearts when we hear His words but rather allow God to work in us by the transforming power in His word, and through us by being a blessing to others thereby bringing Glory to his name.

When we allow God to work in us and through us, we are making ourselves available to fulfill the purposes for which He created us and we would be able to take our place as the great women He has called us to be.
He will prune us and get rid of all the dross or rubbish in our lives and we will bear much fruit. We will be a blessing to everyone who we come in contact with, because of the work God is doing in us and through us.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
You see, God has good plans for us to bring us to an expected end. So let Him work in you and through you.

If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, why not do so now? There is no time like the present.
If you have already given your life to Christ, remember the journey is not over and you need to allow God to continue to work in you and through you. Don't give up because your enemy the devil is not resting and neither should you.

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.  He gives power to the faint  and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. (Isaiah 40:28, 29 AMP)

God has made you more than a conqueror in all things through Christ and not without Him.

Dear Lord, please work in me and through me to the Glory of your Name in Jesus name. Amen. Please let this be your prayer too.

In my next write up, I will share with some amazing treasures from God's word on the Topic "The Power of Life and Death". This will definitely transform you in the most amazing way. Please look out for it and be sure to embrace your blessings.

Are you allowing God to work in and through you? He has great plans for you which can only be accomplished if you let Him work in and through you.
