Last week the ministration was on the third line of the Lord's Prayer- 'Hallowed be Thou name'.
This ministration was focused on the name of our Heavenly Father.
This week, being the week we shall be celebrating Christmas, I will share with you on the name of His Son.
Below is Matthew's account of the visitation of the Angel Gabriel to Joseph in a dream declaring the name of our Lord.
'...And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:21-23 KJV)'
Emmanuel- This is the name the prophet Isaiah said Jesus would be called: 'Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God with us]. [Isa. 9:6; Jer. 31:22; Mic. 5:3-5; Matt. 1:22, 23.] (Isaiah 7:14 AMP)'
Jesus means - The Lord Saves
Emmanuel or Immanuel means - God with us.
The prophet Isaiah later on revealed through prophesy four other names of our Lord as shown in the following passage:
'For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. [Isa. 25:1; 40:9-11; Matt. 28:18; Luke 2:11.] (Isaiah 9:6 AMP)
So far we have seen that our Lord has six significant names as foretold before his birth - Jesus, Emmanuel, Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
This is significant in that on the sixth day God created man and it was for the redemption and reconciliation of man back to Himself, He was in Jesus amongst us. Every single one of his six names relates to God the Father's intended relationship with mankind through His Son Jesus.
Jesus was known as both the Son of God and the Son of Man.
Jesus was both God and man.
It is important we get to know who Jesus is. Who he is, is revealed in His names.
To the sinner, he is The Lord who saves;
To those who feel they are alone in their situation, he is God with us;
To those who find themselves in difficult or hopeless situations, he is the Wonderful Counsellor or the extraordinary strategist ;
To those who are looking for a greater power to meet their needs, he is the Mighty God;
To the fatherless or those who have unreliable or absent fathers he is the Everlasting Father; and
To those who are suffering from restlessness, anxiety, are or troubled in any way, he is the Prince of Peace.
This same Jesus is the King of kings and The Lord of lords and 'Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. [Dan. 2:44; I Cor. 15:25-28; Heb. 1:8.] (Isaiah 9: 7 AMP).
Connect with God the Father through Jesus His Son through any of His names after you have first come to have a relationship with Him through the name which He has given him which us above all other names even the name of Jesus.
The bible says' Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, (Philippians 2:9 NIV)'

'That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10, 11 NIV)
Once you have connected with God the Father through Jesus, it will open up the way to for you to experience His relationship and presence with you through his other names.
