Proverbs 31:18- ‘‘She perceives that her merchandise is good and her lamp goes not out’’

Getting to the place of understanding to decipher between good and bad one must have gone through training and mentoring. Having an open heart to take correction good instruction, like the woman in the verse above She can now discern full of knowledge and experience. She must have humbled herself to receive correction which has led her to the place of great experience, knowledge and understanding. She is full of wisdom therefore she can now perceive good merchandise from evil or fake products.

Exposing yourself to daily improvement can lead you to mastery. You can now perceive, give advice and counsel to others. You will now become a resource for the wealth of knowledge you carry inside.

The end of the verse says ‘’her lamp does not go out’’ that means it burns continually.  This is the woman that has an organised life style. She does not wait for things to happen before she organizes herself. She has things in place in advance. She is ready for quick responses and emergencies. She is not caught unawares; her home is in order; and her business and spiritual life are in order.

Being described as a lamp that does not goes out also means, she is prayed up; she stays full of the Holy Spirit and therefore the power of God is at work continually in her life. 

She is always fully charged- no flat batteries. She is ready to help others. 

Will you believe God to keep your lamp burning this year and become a resource for others?
