NO POWER OUTSIDE OF THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST by Minister Shelley Foster, May 3 Isuue 3 Vol 3

if there's one thing that i've learned in the last few moments of my life, is that there is no power outside of the power of the Holy Ghost!

 

just what exactly does she mean?, you may be asking.

i can try to go from this place to that and to burn the candle at both ends to make ends meet, but i am just expending myself.

i can say i wanna do this and do that for God but without His power, the power of the Holy Ghost, my time is just a wasted effort, the enemy would like nothing better than to swallow me or you whole!!

 

i have tried every way possible to ease myself of heartbrake and nothing can console a wounded heart than the great comforter Himself: the Holy Spirit!

none can be such a great friend than that of the Holy Spirit, He will tell you of things to come, He will strengthen you when you are weak, He will even intercede on your behalf, what a friend in the Holy Spirit we have, brothers and sisters..

none can strengthen your hands for war than that of the Holy spirit, He will prompt you when you need to stand guard, He will also bring aid to your battleweary soul!!

you see, friends, in my own strength, i am a liar, in my own strength, i am an adulterer, in my own strength, i am a thief, in my own strength, i am an addict, but in the power of the Holy Ghost, i am full of power,(micah 3:8).

i cannot defeat the throes of addiction in my own strength, (ask me how many times i've tried)..not by might nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord

i cannot beat the chains of poverty that have enslaved my family except through the power of the Holy ghost!!

i cannot escape the longings of my flesh to be with a person intimately except through the power of the Holy Ghost!!

there's a greater reason for me sharing about the power of the Holy Ghost with you and it is this:

by the power of the Holy Ghost, you can unlock the hidden mysteries of not just your life, but those around you, making you a great witness to the Lord.

by the power of the Holy ghost you will learn to walk by faith towards those things which God has shown you for your life

by the power of the Holy Ghost you will learn to fight for kingdoms and nations, and you will win!!

by the power of the Holy Ghost, you will learn to walk in the fullness of all that God has intended for your life.

my friends, it is high time that each person proclaiming to be a "christian" learn to walk in the fullness of it!

it is high time that each church member learn how to fight every battle against him and his household and win!

don't get me wrong, i can understand newborn babes in Christ coming to the pastor for assistance, but there comes a point in each christian's life that we must learn how to walk, on our own two feet as a christian!

i love to pray, and i love to be a part of a praying group no matter where it is, but what i don't like is people who have been christains for years still on the same merry-go-round with their finances or that sickness!

 

the Bible says 'behold all power has been given unto me, to trample on serpents, scorpions and over all the works of the enemy" what i want you to focus on is that very small but powerful word, ALL!!

how are you going to unleash all that power??

through the power of the Holy Ghost!!

 

my friends, let me remind you all, we are spirit beings, we have a soul, and we live in a body, therfore you are fighting a battle for your life that dare i say is near to impossible to win without the power of the Holy ghost!!

 

my brothers and sisters, your adversary is also of a spirit being, and therefore wages war on a spiritual level for your life, and he plays very dirty!!

it is high time for us as brothers and sisters in the Lord to stand up in the power of the Holy Ghost and stand for truth and righteousness, not some garbage laws they want us to agree to!!

we must stand up in our authority. rev 1:6 He has made us kings and priests, people!

what do kings and priests do? they rule and subdue(gen1:28)

as a king, what is a king going to rule over?? kingdoms and nations! jeramiah 1:10 states: "see i have this day set you over kingdoms and nations!

are you getting my point here??

if only i could help you all to understand.

my friends, i cannot tell you how many times i wanted to be good, but had no strength to withstand the forces against me, except when i came to know and walk in the power of the Holy Ghost!!

brothers and sisters, great men and women of God wouuld not have become great men and women of God except through the power of the Holy Ghost. i only wished i could ask them how much time they spent on their face praying in the Holy ghost!

 

it would sure beat your little ten minutes of stuttering in the spirit, i can garuntee you that!

my brothers and sisters the forces of darkness gets stronger and stronger as darkness closes in on the world, and you will not be able to withstand the forces of evil without the power of the Holy ghost! you must take the time every day to pray in the Holy Ghost (cultivate your prayer language, go from just baby babble to full on conversations in the Spirit), spend as much time as you can praying in the Holy ghost (you cannot go wrong when you live your life according to the Spirit of God)

yes, my friends, brothers and sisters, it is a sacrifice but if you wish to do great exploits according to dan 11:32, than you must go in the power of the Holy Ghost!!
