To be awake is to be consious. Out of sleep, out of slumber, becoming aware of your surroundings. Letting youself into deeper things unknown that you ought to know. To be awake can also mean letting yourself into more of you that you have not realised you had. Giving attention to the needs around your life. Becoming more consious of what will make you the woman God desires you to be. First in Him, to your family, your community, your country, then to the nations and to the world.
Affecting your family, community, country and nation; starts from your awakening yourself in God. Find your place in Him. Don’t sleep on your spiritual maintainance. Keep turning the flame high and let it burn brighter. Never say you have arrived, or know it all. Don’t pay attention to those who say ‘‘you do too much’’ lazy bones, dream killers. Be awake to your personal relationship with God. At the altar, in the word, pressing deeper and deeper. In this position the Lord will cause an awakening in your spirit that no man, problems of life, gates of hell, or any other thing can quench or stop this awakening in you. The reason is you got it from above, it started from within not from outside. Not after a powerful prayer meeting, conference, night vigil, crusade or revival. As these goes off before 48 hours as people normally don’t keep up the fire they received from a great meeting. Receiving your awakening from above you can now see clearly. The areas around you that needs your attention. The needs in your personal life will come alive to you. The needs in your community, your country, the nations and the world at large will now become real.
The woman that wants the awakening experience must, give her heart the opportunity to receive this touch from the Lord. A deep cry and hunger, Lord awake me from within!! Matthew 5:6 says ‘‘you shall be filled when you hunger and thirst for righteousness’’. Then you are in a position to awake the slumbering, sleeping and dead things that needs your impact. The ministry that God has committed to you that is now sleeping. The God given plans and aspirations, dreams and visions that you’ve put aside. The start of the year goals you made are almost forgotten. The problems in your community that needs a daring woman to attend to it. You will arise with much confidence and be of great assistance. You are now an awakening woman from the innner man. You’re not sleeping to the needs in your personal life, saying ‘‘I can’t be bothered’’. Not looking at your marriage go down the drain, not shutting your eyes to those things you can affect. The God we serve neither slumber nor sleep. It’s time to get out of sleep and day dreaming. Be an awakening woman and affect your generation. God bless you.
