Proverbs 31:30 ‘‘Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but the woman that fears the Lord she shall be praised.’’
Most times we don’t understand what’s going on behind the great looks women carry on their faces. What’s happening behind the lipstick, the great hair-dos, the gorgeous bags and shoes, the expensive dresses?
When I have an attack of illness that’s when I do my make-up really nice so that you can’t tell if am sick unless I choose to tell you.
Women go through a lot; broken engagement; a sick child that has given sleepless nights; a troublesome husband; a bully boss that wants an affair; and many more.
In all these circumstances when the woman comes before God to worship she still keeps a smiling face, a great outlook, adorning themselves in-spite of what circumstances they are going through. This is not to fool anyone or a form of pretence, it shows inner strength and power within the woman. She can still keep her head up and remain sane despite what life throws at her.
I had a client that lost her husband less than a year after their wedding; he was sick and died suddenly. This lady in her grief and mourning state, still finds the time to do her hair and organise her skin care. I admire her strength ‘‘power woman’’ I refer to her.
In some cases women will even forget to wash their face in the morning, and press their clothes or even comb their hair as grief has taken over every area of their life.
God can give you strength to live above negative circumstances. It’s good to look great and carry a great image, but the best part of a woman’s life is to fear the Lord. ‘’ ‘’…but the woman that fears the Lord she shall be praised’’, ‘’ the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom’’. The fear of the Lord keeps you away from evil; it helps you to make the right decisions for your life and future. The fear of the Lord grants you access to all that God has for you. Stay connected to God that’s the important bit. God bless you keep reading power hour mails.
