Proverbs 31:27 ‘‘She watches over the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.’’
Being a watchful woman takes diligence and grace. Not allowing things to go the other way when you are in charge. It takes some inner strength to be watchful putting things under control requires you to rise up and speak or wake up and act.
You have to be fearless in some circumstances so that you can take the right action and make right decisions at the right time. Using the right words with tact and wisdom to communicate and get things in order.
A woman that watches well over her household has little or no problems to deal with. If you leave everything in the hands of housekeepers, au piers, cooks and childminders without proper supervision, you might encounter some problems.
In the African setting some women like to leave all in the hands of maids and house helpers. This is how the maids and housekeepers find their way into their bedrooms bringing in adulterous relationships with their husbands.
Women have to be watchful over their household. Not putting yourself in the position for idle chatter box gossiping. There is time to socialise; we need that as part of our life. This should be balanced with time to watch over your household.
You don’t spend all your time socialising; life is not all about parties and ice cream. There are lots of serious things to do and pay attention to, especially when it needs your attention.
Your kids, your marriage, business, your spiritual life and the income generating arm of your life are all very important. Don’t turn your back on these when they are asking for your attention. Idleness will not bring you income. Diligently keep watch over your own and don't eat the bread of idleness please, my dear sister. God bless.
