Red Letter Day by Aije Barnes Sept 4 issue 4 Vol 3

I might be the only one who does not know the true meaning of what is widely known as 'red letter day'

Anyway, when I think of red letter day, my closest interpretation of it relates to the red writings in the bible which usually tells us that Jesus is speaking. These are normally found in the New Testament versions of some bibles such as the King James Version.

I am now sharing with you a red letter moment I had during my recent prayer time. It is a message for the children of God. Here is is below:
The Lord is coming soon but not many of his people are ready. Some of them have become weak and have blended in with the world so much that has become increasingly difficult for people to recognise who his people are because their light have become dim. The Lord is asking his church to stand out and stand up for him. He is coming for a clean bride not one who is not ready. How can we reach out and help the lost if no one can tell the difference between the lost and those who claim to be his? He reminds us that judgement will start from his house and if the righteous are scarcely saved where would the ungodly stand? The Lord reminds us that he loves us so much that is why he wants us to sanctify ourselves and set ourselves apart to be the light and salt to the world and be ready for his coming. The harvest is ripe, people need to be saved and we need to be fit for his purpose and take his message of salvation to the world. Finally, he has asked us to spend more time in praying both in the Spirit and with understanding.

During this time, The Lord told me I needed to be courageous and tell his people. I wondered at the time why I needed to be courageous, but the more I delayed telling you, the more unsettled and less courageous I became. I then began to understand why he asked me to be courageous. It is because he knew how I would begin to feel. I hope I have been able to faithfully convey the message, as I would not want be disobedient. Let us listen and in obedience, love and reverence to The Lord, live our lives for him.

If you are reading this message and are not yet a Christian, God wants you to know that he loves you so much that he gave his only son Jesus, as a sacrifice for you so that you through him can be saved and become his child too. No amount of doing good or going to church can save you. The scripture says 'If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9, 10 NIV)'

Let him be The Lord of your life and live for him. The scripture says 'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)'

May The Lord bless  each and everyone one of you as you receive his word and respond to his call. Amen.
