The Dross Free Woman by Regina Moore

 In the early days of starting Women’s Power Hour, I had a book in which I wrote my thoughts and it contained all that God had given me pertaining to WPH.  Unfortunately, the book was later misplaced.   This was one of the topics the Holy Spirit gave me to write on afterwards. It took some grace to start writing again after so many unpublished articles were lost in that book. I learnt that it’s only God that can keep things for us and they will not get lost.

The Oxford dictionary defines the word dross as ‘’ the scum that forms on the surface of molten metal as a result of oxidation. It also means worthless, common place, or trivial matter, waste impure.  It can also mean dangerous materials that should be removed when there are impurities in water.

The dross in metal must be removed before the metal can become useful. The metal is worthless and even become dangerous when these impurities are not removed from the liquid matter.

As we picture our lives as women we were born with a dross filled heart. Psalm 51:5 ‘In sin did my mother conceive me’’ you are not taught to sin we do it because that’s the nature you were born with. The heart you came into the world with is full of dross, worthless and impure. With this heart our lives can’t have true value.

You can’t experience the fullness of what God has for us on earth with a dross filled heart. The first move to start clearing the dross away in our lives is to humbly acknowledge our sins before God and open up to Him to start the good work with the blood of Jesus. That has the power enough to remove, cleanse, and free every heart of dross. The woman should not be forced to do this as God will not force or beg us to remove our dross as it’s a choice that we have to make.

We need to come before God  allowing Him to do the work in our lives. It’s sometimes a big job God has, as most times we have been clogged with dross.  We’ve been through various issues as we Journey through life; such as abortion, prostitution, materialism, not taking serious your walk with God, or when you  are not patient enough to wait on the Lord and do things in our own strength, not being honest with your spouse or truthful with your dealings with people.  Also jealousy, mixed with envy is common place among women. 

All these winds have carried our lives in various directions. The heart can be in a difficult position for removing dross.  I want you to know that God has not condemned you. He has not given you up. His love is still everlasting towards you no matter how hard your dross is. There is enough power from above to remove, cleanse, separate and fill you afresh with Gods oil of forgiveness, peace love and tranquillity in your life.

If you have been looking down on yourself because of the dross in your life thinking  you are worthless, and of no use;  It’s time to change your mentality as your heavenly father is more than able, to save to the uttermost all those who call upon Him in truth.

Your brokenness, sincerity of heart love and fear of God can bring you befora great work in your life, restoring you and giving your life value; inputting in you the grace to live a dross free life. Not that you will never make mistakes, but you will run to God to remove whenever you see a speck of dross in your life.

 The woman that desires to be a vessel of honour unto the Lord; desiring His out pouring, positioned to look forward to leading her generation into greatness, having the desire to experience greater dimensions of God, not remaining in the shallow waters but want to launch into the deep with God, must live a dross free life. His grace is sufficient for you. Be dross free in Jesus name.
