In our last article
of the established woman, we spoke about how you can know if you are called to
business to clarify if this is your area. You can follow on to this series on

this series.
Today we want to
look at some good ingredients that will make your business outstanding, giving
you and edge over your competitors or making your business stand out among the
others.
1. Don’t give normal regular
service: it’s a bit
strange when I say don’t give normal expected service as this is what everyone
does. The normal things clients expect the regular customer service. If you want
to be on top give ‘extraordinary
service’. Yes do additional, for
example if you run a salon and clients come in to do their hair don’t just
welcome them nicely and give the prices of the hairdos. In addition to the nice warm and inviting
welcome go further to ask about their hair care, have a data base for her
appointments. It will show professionalism. If you spend 10 minutes to talk her
through her hair care and hair history what has she been doing to it, what
products has she been using, what styles has she been doing, give product
advice, organise her details so you can call to give reminders of her
appointments . Ask what type of work she does to know her personality type. With this information you can know what
styles she might require, certain details about her person will help you to
relate better with her and give her good service. This shows you know what you
are doing; you don’t just want to take her money you care about her. So go a
little further do the extra she will take away your good name and care you have
for her to her friends and family you’ve got a client.
2. Have
a pleasant personality: - your
business starts from you, your person, your communication and relational skills.
Don’t bring in your family or health problems into your business world. Leave
the family ones at home and take the health ones to the doctor. Pressures of
life can affect your personality and you can easily bring that attitude into
your business. Drop problems where they belong, sort then and face your business
or push them behind you and do business deal with them later. If you carry that
atmosphere into your business you will affect your pleasant personality which is
very vital as you conduct good business. Your facial expression should be
inviting, not repelling or questioning. You should have an excitement and
passion about what you are doing. The services you are offering or the products
you are selling. Carry a pleasant smiling face through out. Practise avoiding
things that will take away your pleasantness like a negative call in the morning
from a complaining friend, listening to bad news all the time. Make every effort
to keep your pleasant attitude intact Clients stick to you even not for your
products but they love your person so they buy your products.
3. There are few things that keeps a client coming
back forget about low price, people can pay anything for what they want.
Watch out for these your attitude to people, this includes you person, your
mannerisms, your body language, your image, the way you communicate and conduct
yourself. These go a long way to keep a client than any other golden
service you might want to offer them. Secondly your quality works, don’t
compromise your professionalism. Don’t bring down your quality; saying ‘this is
the way they do it’ you are not them. Keep your standard up there you will
attract quality clients. Wishing you all the best in your business pursuit’s
